Memorial Hospital West Pediatric Unit
Memorial Hospital West's Pediatric Unit offers the best in quality medical care for children in a warm, intimate setting. The unit, which includes six private rooms, is decorated with bright colors and child-friendly murals to make children feel more at ease in the hospital. Each room includes a comfortable "sleep chair" for parents or guardians so they may stay overnight with their child. A playroom with toys, books and games, and a dietary menu that offers a variety of child friendly foods also help to make each child's stay just a bit more pleasant.
Children are cared for by a dedicated, multidisciplinary team that includes Pediatric Nurses, all of whom are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and a Certified Child Life Specialist. Physicians on staff at Memorial Hospital West include general pediatricians, as well a wide range of board-certified pediatric specialists.
